Common questions about pricing

A rebalancing event is one invocation of POST /v1/portfolios/{id}/rebalance that results in an order_sequence being calculated and queued, regardless of how many individual orders that event generates. A portfolio with 8 positions that all need rebalancing is one event.
Overage is billed monthly at £0.04 / €0.05 per event above your tier’s included volume. You receive an email notification when you reach 80% and 100% of your included volume. No surprise cuts to service — overage accrues and is invoiced at month end.
Yes. Growth comes with a 14-day free trial with full feature access, including all 14 exchanges, HIFO tax lot selection, and MiFID II record generation. No credit card required to start the trial.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Your invoice is prorated for the remaining days in the billing period. There is no penalty or setup fee for tier changes.
We currently invoice in GBP and EUR. If your organization requires billing in a different currency, contact us — this is available on the Scale tier.
No. Portfolwright is the rebalancing and tax-optimization layer, not an order management system or custodian. You retain your existing custody arrangements. Portfolwright calculates what to trade and in what sequence — your platform or custodian executes and settles. This is by design: we do one layer well, and we sit cleanly next to your existing stack.
